Rava dosa is a South Indian breakfast made out of semolina with some cumin, ginger and coriander leave even green chilies as well. These aromatic crisps toasted thin crepes are insanely popular in the South Indian Tiffin centers and even in major restaurant present over there.

Ingredients Of Instant Rava Dosa

  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut (pieces)
  • 2 tsp jeera
  • 2-4 green chili, sliced
  • Quarter cup dhania
  • Half medium onion (diced)
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • 3 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp ghee/clarified Amul Butter

Why There Are Holes In Rava Dosa | Breaking the Curiosity

When we pour the batter on hot surface of Tawa from about 4-5 inches in height. This allows the batter to come out with small holes that helps steam to escape and due to this, in turn, makes our Tasty Rava Dosa crispier and tastier.

How to Make Instant Rava Dosa

1.Slice up the vegetables and keep them aside in a bowl.

2.In a big mixing bowl add Rava, rice flour with all-purpose flour, and water. Mix it well. Keep it away from your eyes for at least Half an hour.

3.After half an hour add onions as prescribed in ingredients section, green chillies, cilantro, cumin seeds with chopped coconut pieces with some salt. Mix well.

4.Take a large non-stick pan (it would be easy to make on that) on a low-medium flame and apply some clarified butter or ghee upon the surface, and wait for it till it gets hot.

5.Once hot using any Katori/pannikin and put that batter in it and start pouring the batter from a little height.

6.Now fill the large holes with the batter. Pour oil on the outside of the dosa to let it cook well.

7.Once the golden era starts means the color start turning brown-golden from the edges use a sharp-edged spatula and make sure that the dosa is not still sticking to the pan from any of the sides.

8.Now turn the dosa around and cook the other side for Half-Two minutes.

9.Once cooked using a spatula remove the dosa from the pan and place it on a plate.

10.Loop up the same process with the remaining Rava Dosa batter.

11.Serve it hot with some Coconut Chutney with Red Chutney and even tastes better with Sambar.
