During my childhood the most rememberable moments were when my dear mom used to make three types of desserts that were consists of high proportion - kheer, halwa ( mostly of sooji /atta one, and last but not the least fruit custard).

If comes to tell you the frequency then these desserts were made thrice or 4 times a week (you can say the sweet tooth is dominant) and because they were easy to make and required not-so-fancy ingredients.

It’s so easy to make and the taste is incredible for fruit custard you don’t need a lot of ingredients to make it- just a good custard powder, milk, sugar and fruits and there we go your belly will be happy enough then

If talking about a general custard then the garnish is just done with the fruits.

But you can make it more delightful by adding nuts like almonds, cashews.

If don't wanna add nuts then you can also add chocolate chips or tutti frutti, coconut flakes.

Then you can put rose water even it tastes wonderssssss...


Instruction to make blastful fruit custard : 




1- Add near about 3 cups of Amul milk ( why this because at cook with budgett no compromise with the quality) to a heavy bottom pan on medium-high heat.

2- Once it has heated up a little, not till the boiling point, bring out 4 tablespoons of milk from the pan into a small bowl/glass.

3- Add in 3 tablespoons Weikfield custard powder to that milk and mix or shake well. Catch point there should be no lumps. Set it aside after shaking or mixing well.

4- Stir the milk in the pan (aache se hilaye) in between and let it heat up till a gentle boil comes. Then lower down the heat, add sugar, and mix until blend in well.

5- Bring on adding up the Weikfield custard mix.

6- Add little at each time and mix well after each respective addition. Whisk continuously. Cook for around 2 to 3 minutes until the custard thickens. Remove the pan from the stove and let it cool down a bit. 

Then cover up and place it in the refrigerator to chill. Cook with budgett simple best recipes 

7- After that step chop up all the fruits that you want to garnish your very own custard with and after that refrigerate.

8- Once got perfectly chilled, then transfer custard to serving bowl and mix in with the fruits.

9-Cover up again and refrigerate the custard for around again for approx 1 to 2 hours after mixing in the fruits for the flavors to soak in perfectly into the custard. Then garnish up with pomegranate and serve fruits custard in eating bowls!
